I’ll be starting my Life Group up again on Monday, Oct. 6th.  It is a 9 week course where we study some of the foundational truths of Christianity.  We start with the very basic “What is the Bible and where did it come from?” type questions.  Each week builds on the next as we form our foundation for faith.  If you are new to Christianity or want a refresher course in some things consier coming to this Life Group.  We meet in my home at 6 PM each Monday evening.  To sign up please email us or call us at the office.  You can sign up on Sundays at the Life Group table as well.

Life Groups Serving

We had some Life Groups who served in some cool ways recently and though I’d share those quickly.

Some of Matt and Reagan Kauffman’s Life Group served as Chaperone’s at Prom this past Saturday night. I would never have thought of doing that and thought it was VERY cool. Way to go Matt and Reagan! I think they’re just trying to re-live high school.

Adam leads the worship team each Thursday as a Life Group. Two Saturday’s ago they played a gig for LifeChoice just before their Life Walk to raise money for the ministry. The band took out the whole set up and led worship for the walkers before the event. Life Choice is an incredible ministry serving women who are dealing with unplanned pregnancies. We try and support them as much as we can. Then this Wednesday the whole band is driving up to Gillette to play for a youth outreach night at our “mother” church High Plains Community Church. Good job Adam!

Element Knitters. This is a ladies Life Group and they knit TONS of stuff and give it to the Safe House here in Cheyenne. They are continually serving by making and giving these items away. They make washcloths and put them in baggies with essential toiletries for the people at the Safe House. Great work ladies!

I know Grants group has served at the Comea House a couple times serving meals.

The staff really isn’t a Life Group but we take turns each Friday serving lunch at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen. My Friday is this Friday. I enjoy it every time I go! Good job staff! (Can I tell myself good job?)

Thought I’d update on that. Please try and get involved in the community Day of Giving May 9th here in Cheyenne. It’s a great way to serve lots of different people!

Element Church Knitters

Hey Element Church One of our Life Groups is based around knitting and with their knitting and Bible study they are putting together some GREAT gift packs with some toilitries and essentials for the Wyoming Safehouse. Element Church — Foundations Life Group

We launched Foundations tonight. I LOVED IT! I love teaching and preaching. If I can do this till the day I day I’ll be a happy man. Some people struggle to know what they are made for, I AM MADE FOR THIS! I take no credit for it, just saying I feel most alive when I’m preaching or teaching.

We had 6 people (counting me) tonight. It’s funny, I have the same jitters about “Hope someone comes” at Life Group as a do about church. I was pacing the house waiting for Life Group to start. If you ever notice me on Sunday, I’m a pacer. I can’t sit down for 5 minutes on Sunday, I’ve GOT to be moving. Don’t know why, just like that.

Had some AWESOME discussion tonight as we looked at “What is the Bible?”. Rule #1 at Foundations “No question is stupid!” And Rule #2 “Any questions are allowed” Each of the people (I think) were recent Elementers (more recent than 3 months anyway). Each had a cool story about how they found Element. Each experiencing Life at Element. That’s what we want. I am so excited about Foundations. Hopefully at the end of our 9 weeks they will have enjoyed Life Group so much that they will make sure and get plugged into another one. I feel this is going to be a great first step for people who are new to church, new believers or just want that “refresher” course in some foundational things.
