I am headed up to Wheatland, WY for a meeting in just a few minutes so this is going to be very brief. But I wanted to share what went down today. Here are my short ruminations.
— EIGHT people stood to acknowledge Jesus as Savior today. AWESOME! One person in first, one in second and six in third service. LOVE it! If only for the ONE!
— Also had a FULL altar of people every service just opening themselves up to experience the love of Christ. I can’t prove myself to Jesus, but you better believe He proved Himself to me…and the only appropriate response is SURRENDER! Saw some people do that today.
— LOVED seeing people experience the love of Christ today.
— Adam’s song “The One Who Loves Me” is so stinkin’ perfect. “Jesus, you are the one who loves me so come wrap your loving arms around me. Carry me to that place where we might embrace and I become brand new.” So good.
— Speaking of Adam’s songs. A little birdie told me that Adam’s worship cd has returned back from mastering in the studio. That means the only step left is duplication. (a little birdie also told me I get a PRE-RELEASE copy TOMORROW!)
— Right now we are planning a cd release party on Wednesday, September 29th. You won’t want to miss it. It will be a worship celebration and release of the new album. Come out that night to support Adam’s new project.
— Continued Confessions Of A Pastor today:
- Confessions #3: I live my life feeling like I’m not good enough
- Spoke on the life of Peter today looking at several different passages. Asked the question “What happens when I try to prove myself?”
- I correct instead of submit. I speak instead of listen. I commit instead of admit. I need to receive instead of relieve
- Message should be up online Tuesday. Encourage you to check it out. www.elementweb.net
- Played a video called “Jesus Wants The Rose” at the end of the message. AMAZINGLY powerful video. Perfect for a closing illustration.
- This message was VERY close to my heart. I struggle a lot with “I’m not good enough”
- The band covered a Seventh Day Slumber song called “My Struggle” You can listen to it HERE. Love that song. Perfect for me and this message.
— Here is a pic of 400 backpacks FILLED with supplies for all the students at Rossman Elementary here in Cheyenne.
— Tuesday we are taking them ALL out to the school for open house.
— Be praying that the LIFE of Jesus goes with these backpacks. Just praying they make an impact to the families. Thanks Element for stepping up and filling this need.
— Alright, want to share more but my time is up. Gotta hit the road to Wheatland.
— Thanks Element for letting me lead you. You guys are AWESOME!
Till the end,
Jeff
