We announced two weeks ago that we will be remodeling 1800 square feet of unfinished space in our leased portion of property on Carlson into a Coffee House. The name of the coffee house will be The Well. Fusion student ministries is outgrowing the current Fusion room and needs some extra space for hangout and games. Our lobby is fast becoming overcrowded and we are in need of increased hospitality and fellowship space on Sunday mornings. The original plan was to make the 1800 sq. feet into our offices, but by the time we started remodeling our current and soon to be staff had outgrown the space. We’ve received bids on electric and they will be starting work this Tuesday. We are going to try and do most of the work in house again. The total cost of the project is projected at $20,000. We are asking that you ask God “What would you have me give to this project?”. We would LOVE to be able and pay for the project completely without the use of the general budget. We feel that this is the direction God is leading us to better serve our teens and our Sunday morning ministry. The goal is to become a full service coffee shop on Sundays and for youth and special events. We are seeking out a Fair Trade coffee company to do business with. We purchased a professional espresso machine and bean grinder from a church in Denver off of Craigs List. When we drove down to pay them, they loaded up the machine, we gave them the check and they folded it up, gave it back and said “Consider this our donation”. It was VERY cool. We took the money and paid it forward to Needs Inc. and Comea House during the Egg Drop food drive. We are STOKED about getting this thing open. Our projected time frame is to have it up and running by the school year. We’d like to kick off the Fall Fusion ministry with the opening of The Well. Excited about what God is continuing to do at Element.
Smellin’the coffee,
Jeff
