WOW! WOW! WOW! To say we were NOT prepared for today would be an understatement. I am absolutely wiped right now. Andy said it best HERE. I don’t think we’ve been busier or more tired but MAN I can’t imagine doing anything else right now. I love my team. I love Element Church. Here are my ruminations on the day.
— 561 in church today. YES you read that correctly.
— First service was full and second service was PACKED!
— I was sitting in the lobby during 2nd service worship and all the sudden a stream of people came filing out of the worship center. I didn’t know what was happening until I realized they couldn’t find a seat. Thankfully we started our video overflow two weeks ago. Only TODAY did we figure out how to get lyrics and sermon notes over the video. Imagine that. So we had 50 or so people in our video venue enjoying the service.
— We were prepared as far as there was video and sound in there, but we were NOT prepared for people to actually use it. lol OOPS! We had communion today and didn’t have ushers or communioners ready to go.
— Tomorrows meeting should be fun. Got LOTS to tweak in our video venue.
— 5 people in first service, over 10 in second and I’m not sure about the video venue indicated that they received Jesus as their Savior today. LOVE IT!
— We had about a 1 second delay on our video/audio in the video venue. Need to figure that out.
— We have TONS to learn when it comes to the whole video venue thing.
— I think AC is going to become a four letter word for me. It was cold this morning but with all the action in the worship center it heats up quick. So we had the manager turn the AC on. Right before 2nd service I realized it was smokin’ hot again. Come to find out, someone told the theater staff they were cold and they cranked the heat up again. CRAZY!
— GREAT start to our Heart series. Love talking about our values.
— Had The Tour today. Good turnout and again, I LOVE talking about Element Church to people who are curious about who we are.
— Don’t forget to bring spaghetti sauce and noodles each week so we can help keep Needs Inc. food pantry stocked.
— Getting much closer on the new location. Don’t forget, Tuesday Thursday and Friday nights we’re working from 6 – 9 PM. Saturday we’ll start at 4 PM.
— Can’t imagine NOT doing this. God has been great to us. I pray He continues to grant us wisdom in knowing how to handle it all.
