Were driving on a jr. high youth trip. There is NOTHING more peculiar in this world than jr. high boys. They were cracking me up. Today I had the great privilege of being a sponsor on a youth trip to Water World in Denver. I’ve NEVER been a sponsor, I’ve always been the youth pastor, so today was fun. Andy is doing a GREAT job with the jr. high and was proud to watch him be the youth pastor today. Let me share a few of the funny quotes we heard today, again, from jr. high boys.
jr. high boy — “I don’t think I want to get married yet.” Really? Andy and I agreed that was a good thing.
jr. high boy — “If I married a super model I might have 5 kids.” LOL that one cracked me up. It was NO kids unless he married a supermodel, then he might have 5.
jr. high boy — “Can you roll down the window.” other jr. high boy — “EEEW it’s coming through my shirt!” (as he held his shirt over his nose) Do the math.
We heard a couple rousing renditions of some songs. If we could somehow harness the energy of jr. high boys in to propulsion for our vehicles we wouldn’t have an oil crisis. I know there is more funny stuff that happened today, but I’m totally WIPED from hanging with them all day. Don’t know how I did it as a youth pastor.
